Wilshire Mixed Use Master Plan
Koreatown, located west of Downtown Los Angeles and south of Hollywood, is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Koreatown is also the most densely populated district by population, with 124,281 residents in 2.7 square miles, an average of 42,611 people per square mile.
Koreatown, specifically zip code 90010, is unique in that it's a mixture of everything, including luxury, workforce, and affordable housing, retail and office. Residents can live, work and play within close proximity. This proposal aims to connect Wilshire Blvd to 6th Street in a unique way, while also creating an icon along Wilshire Blvd. The massive yet light elevated form consists of commercial, retail, housing and park space for the residents and visitors of Koreatown.
